Do you love the Balloon Rally as much as we do??
Each year we rely on our volunteers to assist in making this a successful event! We have a variety of positions available for you to volunteer. The Suncook Valley Hot Air Balloon Rally remains a success because of the help of our volunteers and we appreciate the commitment that you are making to help us.
General Volunteer Information:
- Most volunteer shifts are a two hours long, however, you may sign up for as many shifts as you would like to volunteer for.
- Anyone can sign up! Some positions do require physical labor and movement, and the ability to lift heavy items.
- Community Service Hours are available for students.
- Volunteers get a ticket for a free meal from the Rotary Tent for every shift they work.
Description of Volunteer Help:
- Gate Greeter – You and a friend will hand out programs, provide basic information to visitors at a field entrance, and collect monetary donations. This position will be mostly sitting at a table and does not require much physical activity.
- Field Support – Help keep Drake field looking beautiful and with other various tasks needed for general operations. This will include tasks such as trash cleanup and removal, assisting with setting up activities, and general support to Field Operations. This position does require physical labor and movement. Some tasks may require the ability to lift heavy items.
- Balloon Crew – Help our balloonists lift off and land by holding lines, laying out the envelope(balloon), etc. This position does require physical labor and movement. Some tasks may require the ability to lift heavy items.
- 5K Road Race Support – Help us with the 5K road race with traffic control, handing out water, with setting up barricades, etc. Some tasks may require physical labor and movement.
